DescriptionMy name is Shayna, and I’m a lyricist who’s been writing truth into lines since I was 14. I don’t write fluff—I write the kind of words that come from living it. After a serious car accident put me in a hospital bed for six weeks, I had nothing but time and a folder full of pretty words. So I went back through 28 years of song ideas I’d started and hadn't had time to finish—and I finished them. Every last one. My lyrics are highly versatile, relevant, and extremely relatable, with the ability to connect deeply with both artists and listeners across a broad range of styles and market directions. My work has already been accepted by a leading Nashville production company for demo development and artist pitching, and two songs were passed along to Dolly Parton for consideration. I am actively seeking a publishing deal and writing contract to have my songs developed into demos and placed before recording artists for consideration, with the goal of building long-term, professional publishing relationships

EquipmentI use my brain, my extensive vocabulary, my heart, real life experiences, a pencil and paper, and the notes app on my phone. I used to play bass guitar, and drums. But I don't have either anymore. I lost them in a fire.
